My new riding gear

Today I went with Mommy and Daddy to Spokane. I got some new things to keep me safe while I ride my bike. I got knee and elbow pads in case I fall and go bump. I also got a "space helmet" to keep my head safe. Here I am all decked out in my new gear.

Hmm, what is it going to be?

My science activity, farm animal capsules....

Alyssa's farm

I am going to the fair on Friday so I have been learning about Farms and farm animals. I have been busy doing alot of activities, art is always my favorite. I made cotton ball sheep, feather chickens, yarn horses, muddy pigs, and ink blot cows. I love the glue and the paint and get a bit messy, but that is what makes it so fun.

More shopping for me

This weekend I went shopping with Mommy and Grandma Betty. We all had to buy some new clothes. I got some really cool pink Barbie car shoes that I love. I got two new Winnie the Pooh shirts, and some strawberry jeans. I helped Mommy and Grandma pick out clothes too. I went to Costco and did some grocery shopping at Winco. I helped Mommy and Daddy put all the groceries away when we got back home. On Sunday, it snowed AGAIN. I thought it was supposed to be Spring.

Look Mommy, a baby

I love animals, especially baby animals. Mommy and I were feeding my fish and we spotted a very small transparent thing swimming around at the bottom of the tank. It was a BABY FISH! He is very small and is a blue Mickey Mouse Platy. I named him Mickey. I like watching Mickey and his mama checks on him. He eats a lot for how little he is, kinda like me!

My chick hatched!

I am learning about Farms for the next two weeks. I have been waiting anxiously for my baby chick to hatch out of his egg. It took him about 4 days soaking in water to completely hatch and come out of his shell into Alyssa's world.

I'm a nut....

Mommy always tells me that I am a nut and totally crack her up. We decided to take a quiz, here are my results.

You Are a Pistachio

You are funky, freaky, and a total character.

You're very different than anyone you know.

There's no way you're changing the way you are...

Which is good, because no one wants you to change.

Monday, AGAIN

Well the weekend is over and it's Monday again. We had a very nice weekend with lots of warm and sunny weather. Grandpa and Grandpa Shauf were not able to come and see me so I had to find other things to keep myself busy. I hope to see you soon!

On Saturday, I went to Clarkston, it was about 80 degrees there. I saw Grandma Betty and Grandpa Burl. I pretended to be a doctor and help Grandpa feel all better. I took his temperature, gave him shots and medicene. We all had lunch together and headed up to Winco. I had a little grocery shopping to do. I helped Mommy and Daddy hold the sacks and put groceries in them. Mommy says I am a really good helper. I almost fell asleep on the way back, but made it home first.

Sunday was even warmer. Mommy and Daddy had to go to Cheney and pick up a couple things. This was great news for me because I got to go to the park. I did a lot of climbing, tried out the big girl swings, and loved the slide. It's my favorite. I got to stay for a while and then went home and helped Mommy with some yardwork. I put my new junior garden tools to use. I also got to talk with Ray, my neighbor. He says I am always so happy, he is right, I am a special little girl. We had a small bbq and I filled up my tummy. Hope you all had a great weekend too!

New Friends

I met two new friends on Wednesday. Mommy's good friend and her daughter came to visit. We all went to the Spokane Valley Mall, boy oh boy can those two shop. I got to go in the play area for a bit, but didn't really want to play, I wanted to walk around on the lighted floor and watch it turn blue as I stepped on the blocks. We finished up at the mall and went to the park. We played on the big wagon slide, checked out the ducks and the really old carousel. I also played for a while on the playground and got lots of sand in my shoes. The best part of the day was getting ice cream, I loved mint chocolate chip. I am very excited, rumor has it that Grandpa and Grandma Shauf are coming to see me on Saturday, I better start getting lots of rest so I am all ready to roll!

Another Alyssa and Mommy weekend...

Daddy left Friday evening to go to a motorcycle event and see my uncle Shane. I practiced pedaling my new big girl princess bike before dinner. I decided to help Mommy make grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato soup and I had to have olives for my fingers of course. I rode my bike around some more and went to bed early to get plenty of rest.
I woke up Saturday and asked Mommy to go to Grandma and Grandpa's house. We ate some oatmeal and strawberries and got all ready to go. When we got to their house I had a snack, french toast and grapes. I was excited to hear that I was going to the park to play. We got in the car and drove to the park. In the middle of the park there was a HUGE choo choo train. I got to check out the engine and passenger car. There was a big red wheel and I could pretend to drive. Pooh and I loved climbing around and exploring the train. I also got to go and feed the ducks at one of the duck ponds. Mommy and I took them bread to eat. They are pretty noisy when they see you have food, they will also follow along behind you to see if you drop anything. They quacked really loud to thank me for feeding them.
We left the park and went to lunch. There were so many yummy things to choose from. Here is what I had: peas, cheese, baby corn, cucumbers, olives, hardboiled eggs, fruit salad, cantalope and pineapple. I also had some spaghetti, macaroni and cheese, fish, a small piece of ham, carrots, and green beans. To top it all off I got to make my own ice cream sundae, chocolate vanilla swirl ice cream, strawberry sauce, sprinkles and chocolate chips. It was soooo good. I looked at Mommy and said, tummy so full, she said I was cute, was a good girl and that I was funny. I love making people happy and making them laugh.
I took a little nap on the way back to Grandma's house and played outside for a long time in their yard. Mommy told me that we had to get home and see my pugs. I got in the car and we drove home. I watched the My Little Pony dvd that Aunt Shannon and Cousin Axel got for me. I also love the My Little Pony backpack I received, Mommy packed it full of fun things for me to do on car rides and in restaurants. It was a long but very fun day.
I woke up Sunday and Mommy and I made chocolate chip waffles. I even made a baby one for Omar pug. We all worked together and did some things around the house. In the afternoon I wanted to go for a drive. Mommy took me to see the cows, chickens, and horses. Daddy got back later that evening and I wanted to help him wash his car. He wouldn't let me have the hose, hmmm I wonder why?

Lunch date with Daddy

On Friday I got to go in the purple car and pick up Daddy from work. We all went and had lunch together. I had chicken mc nuggets and french fries. I had a Belle necklace in my happy meal that is really neat. Pooh loves to wear it when we play dress up. Mommy and I took Daddy back to work and we went grocery shopping. I was a very good girl and a big helper. I helped Mommy put the fruit and veggies into their bags and put the items into the cart. When we got to the checkout I helped her take the food out of the cart and put it up onto the belt. On the way home, we stopped by WSU and I got to see the bears! They are big, brown, and very furry. They came up to the fence and peeked through it at us and snorted. Kinda sounded like my Ozzy pug. I liked the little one, he played on a barrel, rolled on his back and sat on his bottom. Great tricks brown bears, see you again soon!

My big shopping trip

On Thursday Grandma Betty and Grandpa Burl came to see mommy and I and go to Spokane. We went out to breakfast and I had french toast sticks with LOTS of syrup and hashbrowns with ketchup. I had apple juice to drink. I told everyone that it was yummy in my tummy. We drove to Spokane and went to a farm supply store to find junior gardening tools. We bought red shovels, yellow garden hoes, and blue garden rakes. Guess what? They had babies in the store!! I got to see baby chicks of all varieties and colors, baby ducks and even baby turkeys. A man that worked in the store picked up a chick and let me touch and pet it, they were very soft and fuzzy. I got to meet a bunny rabbit too. After we bought our garden tools and saw baby birds, we went clothes shopping. It is going to be Spring someday and I will actually get to wear short sleeves, shorts, and dresses. I love to shop for clothes, I wanted to try them all on while I rode in the cart. I also got some new toys and books. We also went out to lunch and I got to have mexican food, mmmm yummy. My favorite is a cheese quesdilla with lots of sour cream and some ketchup. Here is the biggest news of the day, I got a new bike! YAHOOOO! A new big girl princess bike!!

Christmas in March

Daddy got home from visiting and brought home presents, I was so excited. I knew instantly that Christmas had come once again, it wasn't all that long to have to wait. I got some really fun new things, thanks to you all for the gifts. I love them all. Mommy says thank you for her presents as well, they smell very, very good. We aren't sure who to thank specifically and for what, daddy might have lost the gift tags on the way home, or they weren't labeled, but thanks again and I hope you liked yours.

Mommy and Alyssa Weekend

Last weekend Daddy decided to go visit Grandpa and Grandma Shauf. I decided that I wanted to stay home with mommy and have a girl's weekend. We had a lot of time to spend together and got to do some special things. It even snowed, yes I said snow. Mommy says it shouldn't be snowing at the end of March, but I have proof that it did! I went out and made Alyssa footprints and snow angels. We did some baking and even went for some drives to see animals. We did fun girly things like doing our hair, and even Omar's hair, he didn't really like the result. We even painted our fingers and toes, popped popcorn, and watched the Care Bears movie.
